Reviewing Tony’s New Book

My Favorite Pic of Tony
Tony Jones is?throwing a blog tour in support of his new book: The Teaching of Twelve: Believing & Practicing the Primitive Christianity of the Ancient Didache Community.
Disclosure time: In line with the new law, the book is being given to me and Tony is a friend of mine.? Actually, I consider Tony a dear friend?despite the fact that?our face to face?time has been sporadic over the last seven years and our views of various things are about as different as possible.
That’s so you’ll know this, even though I like Tony a lot, it doesn’t mean that I’m going to give an automatic full endorsement. I anticipate learning a lot and being challenged a lot as I read his insights on early church history and it’s potential application for believers today.? I anticipate a clear message in this book to the masses despite being written by someone with a Ph.D. and who can lose most people when he gets ramped up about theological issues.
Isnt’ it cool how Jesus can bring unity in relationships despite our differences?
yea, I enjoy Tony a lot. I also don’t agree with a lot of the stuff he say’s or his views on some things, but he is a good writer and challenges me in the things I already do believe.
