Youth Worker Support Hope

I’ve shared in a variety of places that our overall budget needs for my work with the National Network of Youth Ministries is $6K a month.? Last month I shared my $10 = 25% idea.? So far, 10 people have said they want to give $10 a month, only 140 more to go, woo hoo!

A majority of those people who are giving $10 a month are youth workers and that got me thinking about my support hope from youth workers.

My core financial supporters are those people who shared they wanted to support us at some level before I even interviewed for the position. A couple of my core financial supporters are youth workers, which blew me away. When I was first considering going on staff with the NNYM, I called friends looking for their affirmation and prayer and if they were willing to give monthly, if it happened.? I had three youth workers tell me they wanted to financially support me, if it happened. They all caught me off guard because I had only called to get their feedback and prayer support.

My hope is that youth workers will provide at least 10% of our total budget.

So far, eleven youth workers have confirmed with me that they want to support us monthly and their current monthly total is $150, or 25% of the $600 that would equal 10% of our monthly needs.

Special Thanks for Youth Workers

There are some people? and companies who want to give you some rescources as a thank you for supporting me financially. They believe in me and youth workers so it will be a bundle of resources from a variety of companies and ministries.

Right now that includes 2 lesson series, two books and more is being arranged.? The price? of the lessons and books alone are worth $60-$75.

What Can You Do?

If you are a youth worker, I hope that you would consider supporting this ministry at some level. Monthly is preferred but anything is amazing. We’ve also had three youth workers give us significant special gifts and another is going to use a portion of his income tax return in 2010 to give a special gift.

It’s humbling and yet honoring when my peers provide part of our support.

Thanks for considering the support? and thanks for letting me serve you.
